The 8th New York Carolina Club Dean E. Smith Opening Doors Fund basketball outing was held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn yesterday. UNC alumni, family, and friends enjoyed a Brooklyn Nets 114-102 win over the Atlanta Hawks. After the game attendees of the sold-out outing were treated to a visit from former Tar Heels and current Brooklyn Nets players Cam Johnson who scored 23 points and Day’Ron Sharpe who snared 7 rebounds in the contest as both signed autographs and took photos with all in attendance.
