The New York Carolina Club and UNC alumni headed to Citi Field on the evening of Sept. 11 as the New York Mets took on crosstown opponent the New York Yankees. The Subway Series game featured a ceremony to honor the lives lost on Sept. 11, 2001 and the first responders who dedicated their efforts to saving lives and the following clean-up in the city. The ceremony was followed by a lovely evening of baseball.
