UNC vs Hofstra Lacrosse Outing (3/9)

Come help us support the 15th ranked Tar Heels as they start their New York tour!

The David M. Duffy Foundation has been gracious enough to host a tailgate for UNC alumni, and families of UNC Lacrosse. The event will begin at 11am, before the 1pm game, and will take place in the Howdy Myers Pavilion, located in the Southeast corner of James M. Shuart Stadium. Hofstra Catering will handle food, and alcohol will be available by purchase. There will be a donation request from the David M. Duffy Foundation.

The foundation was created to honor the life of 2004 lacrosse alumnus, Dave Duffy, who passed away in 2021 and support non-profit organizations benefiting the betterment and promotion of low socio-economic classes as well as under-resourced individuals seeking educational, athletic and job opportunities. The organization also seeks to support non-profit organizations for single parents and widows.

This is the first of three games the Men’s Lacrosse team will play in the Empire State, the next being against Wagner College (3/12) finishing off at Stony Brook (3/16). This will be a tremendous opportunity to meet and network with fellow Tar Heel alums, and root on the Men’s Lacrosse team.

Transportation from NYC: Hempstead, NY is accessible via the LIRR trains, departing Grand Central at 9:35am, 10:35am and 11:35pm, arriving in Hempstead in 53 minutes.
