Please join the New York Carolina Club as it hosts a free virtual event with acclaimed author Holly George-Warren ’78 as she discusses her celebrated book about the life of Janis Joplin entitled Janis: Her Life and Music.
A two-time Grammy nominee, she is an award-winning author of sixteen books. Janis: Her Life and Music was named best nonfiction book of 2019 by the prestigious Texas Institute of Letters.
Hosting the discussion is renowned author Parke Puterbaugh ’76. A former senior editor at Rolling Stone, he has written or co-written numerous books and magazine articles on music, travel, the environment, and other subjects.
