The New York Carolina Club is excited to offer more volunteer opportunities this year, with the ultimate goal of one event per month.
To kick things off, NYCC will volunteer with City Harvest at the Queensbridge Mobile Market on February 26. The group is limited to 5 people so registration is first come, first served. Sign up HERE.

Description of Duties: Volunteers will be stationed at 3-4 market tables, each supplied with thousands of pounds of fresh produce that they will help distribute to eligible market-goers. Volunteers will help to stock stations with produce boxes and guide clients through the market while maintaining social distancing. Additional tasks may include sorting and repacking food items, breaking down produce boxes, and line management. Note: All food is distributed free of charge.
Additional Information: This Mobile Market location takes place outdoors year-round, so be sure to wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing and footwear. This is a hands-on activity and there is no secure place to leave your property, so please keep your personal belongings to a minimum. It’s helpful to travel with a messenger bag or backpack so that you can keep your personal belongings with you while you volunteer hands-free! All volunteers should wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes to this project. Ballet flats, loafers, sandals, and flip-flops are not permitted. Please plan to arrive on time and stay onsite until dismissed by the market manager.
Covid-19 Requirements: All volunteers must provide their own face mask and wear it properly at all times while volunteering. Volunteers must review and agree to our COVID-19 Policies and Procedures before volunteering.
