The New York Carolina Club hosted a free virtual chat as part of the Tommy Kearns/NYCC Basketball Speaker Series featuring ESPN Vice President and Executive Producer for Original Content, Films and Special Projects John Dahl ’86. A winner of 3 Peabody Awards and 10 Emmys, John talked about the ACC Network 10-part/10-hour documentary The Tournament: A History of ACC Basketball, which he produced.
Hosting the discussion was UNC History Associate Professor Matthew Andrews, a historian with an interest in the links between sports and American history and culture. The Daily Tar Heel has designated him “Best Professor” three times and have cited several of his courses as “Best UNC Class” over the years.
